Residentials for trans and non-binary youth
Since 2010, Gendered Intelligence has taken young trans and non-binary people on a camping trip every summer. Last year we ran our biggest summer camp ever, Super Camp, to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Over 150 young people aged 18-25 and 30 volunteers spent a week in the countryside in a beautiful space that celebrated what it means to be trans and gender diverse.
This year we are running a summer camp for 11-17 year olds.

More information on our decision to not run an 18+ camp this year from our Youth Work team
Last year we celebrated GI's 10 year anniversary with a week long Super Camp for 18-25 year olds. We learnt a lot about ourselves, our community and about camp. Super Camp was the result of 2 years of intensive planning. It was beautiful and exhausting. One of the things that came out of Super Camp was our team's desire for more training and we know in the long-term this will support all our young people, too. That is why this year we have made the hard decision to run a workers training course and an unders camp, with no camp for our 18+ young people. It wasn't an easy decision to make. But we think you'll be OK. We remember the support and love you showed one another on Super Camp, as well as your determination and resourcefulness. So our hope for you this year is that, rather than feel dissapointed that we will not be camping with you, you will self-organise. Dig out those numbers from last summer, get in touch with the people you met on Super Camp, reach out to those who weren't there, and plan Camping trips of your own. On Super Camp we talked about sending more love out into the world and creating more change, 2019 is your year to make it happen - for the world and for yourselves.
We hope to see some of you on the training course and at various Pride events this summer. Take care of yourselves and each other,
Finn, Jake & the Youth Work Team
