Gendered Intelligence (GI) is a registered not-for-profit charity, established in 2008. Our mission is to increase understandings of gender diversity and to improve the lives of trans people. We work predominantly with the trans community and those who impact on trans lives; we particularly specialise in supporting young trans people aged 8-30.

Gendered Intelligence consists of a team of skilled trainers, youth workers, mentors, public speakers, consultants, workshop facilitators and community practitioners, who are supported by individuals with administrative, finance, research, policy, communications and IT skills. We have a working and in-depth knowledge of the wider trans community and of the young trans community in particular.

Gendered Intelligence is a trans-led organisation, which means most members of the team are trans. We feel strongly that there is not one way of being trans, and there are many different ways and approaches to help GI achieve its aims.

We are keen to ensure that collectively the team is diverse in order that we can draw from a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives and styles of thinking and working. As the organisation grows this is more important than ever.

We are recruiting for two full-time roles: Administrator, and Youth & Community Services Administrator. We are looking for good communicators; people who are happy to work independently and be flexible as well as creative in finding solutions. The person specification and skill set for both roles are the same, but the area of work and tasks to be undertaken will be different (see the recruitment pack for details). You will have the opportunity to indicate if you are interested in one or both of the roles.

Salary: Band 4: £23,541 – £25,990 (+ £3,000 London Weighting where applicable)
Location: Remote, returning to London (King’s Cross) office when COVID allows

kickstart/queerstart roles

Administrative Assistant and Communications Assistant

We have two Kickstart vacancies: a Communications Assistant and an Administrative Assistant. Kickstart opportunities are open to anyone aged 18-24 yrs, who is receiving Universal Credit. (If you do not meet these criteria, please do not apply as we will not be able to consider your application). Both positions are for six months, starting in Jan 2022, for 25 hours per week. We are looking for good communicators who can join a small, busy team and pay attention to detail while multi-tasking.

Salary: £11.60 per hour

Location: Remote, returning to London (King’s Cross) office when COVID allows

Deadline to apply: 5pm on Friday 17th December

Interviews: Interviews are expected to take place (via Zoom) early in January, with an expected start date before the end of January.
