Launch of our new strategy 2024-2029

This strategy will guide us through the next five years. As we begin these years, GI – and trans and non-binary people generally - are in the midst of challenging times.

It gives us great pleasure to officially launch our new 5-year strategy at GI.

This strategy has been developed from the broad process of consultation and prioritisation with GI’s stakeholders, to which you contributed in late 2023.

We want to send a big thank you to all who took the time and effort to share their thoughts, knowledge, ideas and insights with us.  Without that input, our strategy wouldn’t be the considered and robust document it is.

This strategy will guide us through the next five years.  As we begin these years, GI – and trans and non-binary people generally - are in the midst of challenging times.

Our three key areas of focus, distilled from the consultation, reflect this:

·        Health - Protecting trans, non-binary and gender questioning people’s health and wellbeing

·        Equity, Diversity and Inclusion - Centring the most marginalised

·        Sustainability - Ensuring lasting impact

There are several ways to explore the strategy and find out more – you can read it in full, or dip into the summary ‘Strategy on a page’ or watch a short video outlining the key points.

Whichever way you prefer to engage with the strategy, please do connect with us here at GI and stay involved. We need our allies now, more than ever.  Everyone has a part to play in helping us achieve our strategic aims – whether that’s amplifying our key messages, raising funds for us, or helping deliver our work.

Whether you’re a donor, client, sector colleague, young person, partner, funder, parent / carer, participant in any of our services, supporter, any other stakeholder, or a combination of these, I hope you will follow us on our journey and be part of it.
