Hi I’m AJ Goodlad (MBACP), welcome. I’m an experienced person-centred therapist/counsellor offering you unconditional acceptance, warmth and a genuine non-judgmental relationship. My work is trauma informed, sex positive, gender affirming, neuro-affirming. You don’t need to educate me in queerness, trans+, poly, ENM, kink or neurodivergence.

I’m the founder of Queer-Therapy.LGBT, an affirming, queer space for you to bring your whole self, online and face to face in Brighton & Hove at The Queer Therapy Hub.

Who’s welcomed into my practice? The dolls, transfags, gender queers, crips, questioning, bois, she/they’s, bears, pups, non-binary finery, isolated village queers, binary trans, gender questioning, SWers, later in life neuroqueer discovery and/or coming out, AuDHDers, non-binary dykes, religious trauma survivors, plurals, metas, no gender, poly Tetris players, cis partners, friends, lovers and family seeking understanding as their loved one transitions; whoever’s drawn to my work.

I’ve had the privilege of being in the role of Psychotherapist and Counsellor for the past decade, with extensive experience as a Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity Therapist. I regularly support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, disassociation, gender identity and neurodivergent understanding. My relationship with you will be genuine, as you process any thoughts, feelings and life’s experiences. I’ll be working for you to feel safe, within an empathic space, for you to explore as you need. Long and short term work available. 18+.
