Practice description

After 30 years in practice I know the most important factor in helpful therapy is the quality of the relationship with your therapist. One size does not fit all, and my wealth of experience and training means I can tailor an approach that suits you.

I’m also a trained and experienced mindfulness teacher and I can guide mindfulness and somatic practices.

I have undertaken training in working with trauma, neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ issues. I take the approach that much difficulty arises from the way society treats difference. I continue to challenge my own bias and remain aware of my privilege.

I am kind, compassion focussed, curious, creative, with a sense of humour. I listen closely, reflect, ask questions, offer perspectives and suggest activities. My style is collaborative. I’m very supportive, and I also encourage you to look deeper, challenge your own beliefs, patterns and become your own best support.

Therapy qualifications

Certificate of counselling in the development of learning, Diploma of Higher Education in therapeutic counselling

Other therapy skills

I am also a highly trained and experienced mindfulness teacher and retreat facilitator specialising in queer self-compassion practice
