Practice description
Welcome! I’m Hannah (she/her) an Irish, Queer , Person-centred Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor based in West Sussex. I offer online sessions for individuals aged 18+ and I have worked supporting the LGBTQ+ Community for over 6 years in a number of different roles. I am a Lead Lecturer in Counselling at East Sussex College and I deliver training on LGBTQ Inclusion.
Having person-centred counselling means you are in the ‘driver’ seat of our sessions. The person-centred approach believes that each individual has a natural ability to find happiness given the right environment; that we already have everything that we need, and that we are enough, just as we are.
In our sessions we may look at different aspects of your life or relationships, and what changes you might like to make. I aim to help clients improve their relationships both with themselves and others. This is usually first done by building your self-confidence.
All my work is trauma-informed, and guided by principles of Disability Justice and Anti-oppressive practice.Being anti-oppressive means making sure not to replicate harm in our work; by prioritising safety, security and authenticity. I offer a neurodivergent affirmative space where you do not have to pretend. Please get in touch via email if you have any questions, or to book an initial session.
